AGATHI IN SIDDHA MEDICINE

Agathi --- Botanical name is Sesbania grandiflora.
Two types
1) White Agathi
2) Red Agathi
Useful parts : Leaf, flowers, barks and roots.
Leaf:
1) 2 to 3 drops of leaf juice dropped in the nostrils reduce intermittent fever.
2) 1 part juice and 5 parts honey mixed well and externally applied in the head it cures sinuses in children. The same in the nostrils reduce headache.
Flower:
1) The juice of the flowers acts as a great medicine in eye diseases.
Bark:
The bark is made as dication (kudineer) as per the rules and given for viral fever.
Root bark:
The dication of this will cure white discharge, dryness of mouth, burning sensation of eyes, mouth, ear, nose and extrimities.
Red agathis root bark along with oomathai root grinded well and externally applied reduces the swelling in arthritis.

Did Sex Remains darkened in India?

I came through a patient and his wife in my clinic who was ready to adopt a child.
Me and my wife Dr.Anitha went through the sexual history of them separately and were shocked to know that they dont even know the basic knowledge about sex and they even think it as a sin to talk that matter to another person.
What happening in this field is really some what confusing. The general public has a lot of untrue facts regarding sex. Even the educated people too believe these mockeries.
In the case of siddha field these said great visiting doctors whom visit several lodges and said to cure sexual disorders with magical medicines is really creating a mennace to the public by propagating false and illusional things about sex to the general public.
This must be stopped immediately. Otherwise it will create a bad name to the whole siddha community. So join hands to eradicate such false things and save siddha.

Quacks in Siddha field

Siddha quacks are a great mennace for all the qualified siddha doctors. Today while in my hospital looking over patients a maruthi omni came and they parked somewhat near my hospital and started to call over the speaker( audio amplifier and speaker box attached to the vechile) all rubbish and lies about the diseases of vatha and promoted a sarva rooha nivarani oil. One patient came to me and enquired about tbis oil. I was really ashamed at that moment to face that thing. Neither the government nor the siddha system is bothered about this. There is nobody to tie the bell to the cat. All our siddha legends are talking about it but nobody cares. Unless or until this quacks are eradicated our system will never develop and it will remain as a comedy scene in the health system of tamilnadu. Severe and sincere action is needed at the most. Will see what comes next.
